Approve the transfer of County Capital Projects Contingency to the Facilities Department to install 10 VRV Condensers and 4 Air Handlers at the Bisbee Administration Building at 4 Ledge Avenue, in the amount of $1,909,068.

Background:

The existing boiler and air handlers need to be demolished and replaced with an alternative due to their old age. It is the Facilities Management Department’s recommendation to replace the current system to prevent further system failure.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Move funds from contingency, issue a purchase order to Midstate Mechanical, and begin scheduling the work.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

The current system will continue to fail, leaving occupants without proper cooling or heat.
