Approve Federal Fiscal Year 2026 grant funding reimbursement between the Cochise County Superior Court and the Arizona Department of Economic Security for reimbursable access and visitation activities, in the amount of $26,800.39, effective October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.
Background:
The purpose of this grant funding is to support mediation/conciliation services, development of parenting plans, supervised visitation, counseling, visitation enforcement, and parent education obligations in the Superior Court. The Arizona Department of Economic Security will reimburse 90% of costs incurred. The remaining 10% is paid from court fees collected from court filings. The funding is used to pay a contracted provider to perform these services.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
The Court shall submit monthly Certified Public Expenditures Statements and Access and Visitation expenditure by Service Reports to the Arizona Department of Economic Security for reimbursement requests.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
No reimbursement to provide Access and Visitation services.
