Agenda Item Text:
Approve an agreement with Granicus for the purchase, implementation, and ongoing service of a video integration and broadcast system to support livestreaming, archiving, and automated closed captioning of County meetings, in the amount of $85,380.14, with annual costs as outlined in the agreement, for the term of 60 months.
Background:
We are requesting approval to implement a comprehensive video integration and broadcast system to enhance public access, transparency, and accessibility of County meetings. The proposed system will support live streaming, on-demand video access, multi-camera production, and automated closed captioning and transcription services.
This initiative aligns with best practices in government transparency and supports compliance with federal accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring individuals with hearing impairments have equal access to County proceedings.
The system will improve the County’s ability to reliably livestream and archive meetings, provide timely public access to recordings, and increase operational efficiency in managing and publishing meeting content.
The attached Granicus proposal outlines a five-camera broadcast system with associated hardware, software, and captioning services. The agreement term is 60 months.
