Approve a grant of easement to Arizona Public Service (APS) for an isolated power supply for Well #8 at the Bisbee-Douglas International Airport, effective May 19, 2026.
Background:
A utility easement is required to establish a separate power supply for Well #8, allowing the electrical service for Well #7 and Well #8 to be independently isolated. Ensuring that another power supply is available is necessary in the event that the power supply to Well #7 is interrupted.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Provide copies of signed easement to Arizona Public Service.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Without approval of the easement, Arizona Public Service will be unable to construct the electrical lines at the Bisbee-Douglas International Airport, and Well #8 will not have an isolated power supply independent from Well #7.
