SPECIAL NOTICE OF AN EMERGENCY MEETING
OF THE COCHISE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

Pursuant to A.R. S. § 38-431.02(D), notice is hereby given that an emergency session of the Cochise County Board of Supervisors was held on March 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Board of Supervisors Executive Conference Room, 1415 W. Melody Lane, Building G, Bisbee, AZ 85603.
At the emergency session, the Cochise County Board of Supervisors discussed, considered, and took action on the following items:
- Discussion and possible direction regarding litigation and options in the matter of The State of Arizona, ex rel. Kristin K. Mayes, Attorney General, v. Cochise County, Tom Crosby in his official capacity as Cochise County District 1 Board Supervisor, Ann English, in her official capacity as Cochise County District 2 Board Supervisor, Peggy Judd, in her official capacity as Cochise County District 3 Board Supervisor, and David W. Stevens, in his official capacity as Cochise County Recorder, filed on March 7, 2023.
Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(3) and (4), the Board may go into executive session for legal advice with the attorney of the public body and to consider its position and instruct attorneys regarding the public body's position in pending litigation. - Discussion, direction and approval of obtaining outside legal representation for the matter of The State of Arizona ex rel. Kristin K. Mayes, Attorney General, v. Cochise County, Tom Crosby in his official capacity as Cochise County District 1 Board Supervisor, Ann English, in her official capacity as Cochise County District 2 Board Supervisor, Peggy Judd, in her official capacity as Cochise County District 3 Board Supervisor, and David W. Stevens, in his official capacity as Cochise County Recorder, filed on March 7, 2023, and authorize the County Administrator to sign an agreement for legal representation of the Board in said matter.
