WHAT THIS ACTION ACCOMPLISHES:
Approval of this item will designate the initial Chair and Vice Chair positions of the newly created Metro Transportation Engineering and Construction Cooperative (MTECC).
SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
MTECC was created pursuant to Chapter 163.01 Fla. Stat. by Interlocal Agreement on May 31, 2022, as recorded with the Clerk of the Court for Broward County, Florida. A key element of MTECC is that it is a self-governing Board, self-funded by its members. At the October 13, 2022 initial meeting of the MTECC Board, the members are requested to designate the initial Chair and Vice Chair of MTECC.
