REQUESTED ACTION:
MOTION TO ADOPT: Basic Board Meeting Rules Utlizing Robert's Rules of Order
WHAT THIS ACTION ACCOMPLISHES:
Approval of this item will establish certain rules of basic structure and manner of operation of the MTECC Board.
SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
MTECC was created pursuant to Chapter 163.01 Fla. Stat. by Interlocal Agreement on May 31, 2022, as recorded with the Clerk of the Court for Broward County, Florida. A key element of MTECC is that it is a self-governing Board, self-funded by its members. At the October 13, 2022 initial meeting of the MTECC Board, the members are requested to adopt Robert's Rules of Order as its basic Board Meeting rules.
MPO staff recommends MTECC Board approval of adopting Robert's Rules of Order.
