SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
For the MPO's last TMA Certification Review in 2019, the MPO received no corrective actions and five recommendations related to transit, transit interoperability, Title VI and related requirements, the Metropolitan Transportation Plan/Long Range Transportation Plan scope, and the Transportation Improvement Program. MPO staff has since provided to the Federal review team updates on efforts made to address the recommendations found in the 2019 report.
Every year, the Florida Department of Transportation conducts a Joint Certification of the Broward MPO. The 2022 Certification resulted in no corrective actions and one recommendation related to the timing of invoices and Unified Planning Work Program modification submissions (the 2023 Certification took place on February 16, 2023, but the final Certification report is not yet available at the time of writing this agenda item).
