Approval of this item will allow GEOWEBHOUSE, LLC. to continue developing the final two (of three) modules for a comprehensive project tracking platform and database for MPO staff to efficiently track projects identified in the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) through the programming, planning, design, and construction process.

The Broward MPO is seeking to develop a content management service to track projects during their planning and implementation life cycle from the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), through the List of Priority Projects (LOPP) and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), and into final project implementation (design and construction). Phase 1 of this project (completed under Agreement 24-07 - approved by the MPO Executive Committee on November 2, 2023) completed the framework for this project tracking platform and the first of three modules (Metropolitan Transportation Plan Database) was finalized in June 2024.

Phase 2 of the project tracker software development for the Broward MPO aims to enhance the functionalities, integrations, and user experience of the existing system. The software will support the MPO’s project management, tracking, and reporting needs by expanding Phase 1’s capabilities and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Specifically, this scope of work will develop the remaining modules for the project tracker (for the LOPP and TIP), ensuring the full life cycle of MPO projects can be tracked. The project tracker is expected to be operational by June 30, 2026 and hosting and maintenance of the application will be provided through June 2030.

MPO staff recommends approval of the proposed Agreement with GEOWEBHOUSE, LLC. for Content Management Database Tracker Services - Phase 2 in an amount not to exceed $135,000.
