Safe Routes to School - Grant Application Workshop - September 4, 2025
SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
The Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program is a statewide program that aims to make it safer for more children to walk and bicycle to school. This grant program is funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the development and implementation of roadway improvement projects that will improve safety in the vicinity of schools.
FDOT would like to invite interested parties to participate in a free training workshop hosted by FDOT and the University of South Florida focused on the SRTS grant application. This workshop will cover the necessary application criteria, provide resources, and offer guidance on creating a strong application for grant funds for SRTS initiatives. For more information, please visit https://floridaltap.org/safe-routes-to-school-application-workshop/ or see the flier in the Attachment.
