On July 13, 2017, the MPO Board approved the creation of a new Library of Service Providers (the previous Library had expired at the end of 2016) for general planning services. The new Library consists of four firms (HDR Engineering, Inc.; Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.; T.Y. Lin International; and Whitehouse Group Inc.) and was created to provide a variety of planning and planning-related services to the Broward MPO and its member governments on an as-needed basis.

Since its creation, the new Library has been or will be used for mobility studies, grant writing, concept development, and traffic counts. Should MPO member governments be interested in utilizing the Library for services such as these, please reach out to Paul Calvaresi (contact information below). An interlocal agreement (ILA) with the Broward MPO is required. The ILA provides the mechanism for contracting with the Broward MPO for staff services as well as utilizing the competitively bid Library.

Further, the Broward MPO is currently developing a competitive planning grant program so that member governments can receive assistance  for local planning efforts. Once developed, proposed planning studies will be sourced through the MPO and/or Library.
