Mobility Projects Update
SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
The MPO's Mobility Program began in 2012 as a component of the implementation of the 2035 Long Range Transportation Plan. The intent of this Program is to advance multimodal projects from the planning stage to design, and ultimately to construction. The mobility projects come from various sources including the Complete Streets Master Plan, corridor studies, and applications for Complete Streets and other Localized Initiatives Program and Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery grant funding. The Mobility Program serves as the implementation arm of the MPO's Complete Streets Initiative and is made possible through a partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation.
MPO staff provides regular updates to inform the MPO Board, Technical Advisory Committee, and Citizens' Advisory Committee about the implementation of projects through the Mobility Program. The current update provides a comprehensive look at accomplishments made this past fiscal year (2022-23) and summarizes projects based on phase of implementation: programmed, design, construction, or completed projects. For the update, please see Attachments 1 and 2.
