This action will grant the Executive Committee the authority to approve and accept any necessary edits and non-substantive revisions to the previously approved MPO core products which include, but are not limited to, (i) 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan; (ii) Multimodal Priority List; (iii) Transportation Improvement Program; (iv) Unified Planning Work Program; (v) Public Participation Plan; and (vi) other similar active products and documents. Additionally, this action will direct staff to identify documents, provide suggested edits/revisions, and present to the Executive Committee.

Federal policy changes occur when new laws are passed or adopted, executive orders are issued, or existing regulations are updated to address emerging needs or priorities. The Federal government influences a wide range of sectors, including transportation. Organizations, including the MPO, which are affected by these changes must monitor updates to ensure compliance with new regulations which might involve changes in operations, funding opportunities, or compliance requirements. To stay compliant, MPO staff actively monitor Federal policy updates to adjust internal procedures as necessary. Updates to current policies will help the MPO minimize legal risks and remain aligned with evolving Federal mandates and standards. This proactive approach ensures the MPO can quickly adapt to mandates and dictates, thus avoiding potential penalties and affording the MPO the ability to capitalize on new evolving opportunities.
