Broward MPO Performance Measures Dashboard & State of the System Report
SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
The Broward MPO's Regional Planning team annually collects, analyzes, and produces a number of data products to support the tracking of the Federally mandated performance measures. These products include the Performance Measures Dashboard and the State of the System Report. A brief description of these two products is provided below.
The Performance Measures Dashboard was developed in 2018 using the mySidewalk software platform. The purpose of the Dashboard is to provide MPO staff with the ability to share information about the Federally mandated performance measures with the MPO Board, its committees, and, most importantly, the public in an easy and visually pleasing manner. The Dashboard includes all the MPO's adopted performance measures targets for PM1 Safety, PM2 Bridge and Pavement Conditions, PM3 System Performance, Transit Asset Management, and Transit Safety. The Dashboard is revised and updated annually to reflect the current adopted targets and to enhance its functionality. The Dashboard has been presented nationally to the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Transit Administration, and the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations. The majority of the data and maps contained in the Dashboard are able to be downloaded as pictures (PNG), CSV or GIS (GeoJson) files. The State of the System Report was first produced in 2018. The purpose of the State of the System Report is to provide a yearly “snapshot” of the Broward MPO's progress in meeting the Federal requirements relating to performance measures and to assist us in monitoring our planning efforts and those of our regional planning partners. The Report contains the most recent transportation and land use data about Broward and its entire multimodal transportation system including seaport, airport, and rail. At the upcoming meeting, MPO staff will conduct a short demonstration of the Dashboard, provide an update on the State of the System Report, and address any questions or comments.
