REQUESTED ACTION:
MOTION TO APPROVE: Interim Executive Director Appointment
WHAT THIS ACTION ACCOMPLISHES:
Approval of this item will allow for the selection of Lowell Clary, President of Clary Consulting Co., to serve as the initial Executive Director for MTECC on an interim basis. Mr. Clary's responsibilities would include the oversight of the operations and administration of MTECC.
SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
MTECC was created pursuant to Chapter 163.01 Fla. Stat. by Interlocal Agreement on May 31, 2022, as recorded with the Clerk of the Court for Broward County, Florida. A key element of MTECC is that it is a self-governing Board, self-funded by its members. At the October 13, 2022 initial meeting of the MTECC Board, the members are requested to appoint Mr. Lowell Clary, President of Clary Consulting Inc., to serve as MTECC's Executive Director on an interim basis.
MPO staff recommends approval of appointing Mr. Lowell Clary, President of Clary Consulting, Inc., as interim Executive Director of MTECC.
