Approval of this item will allow MPO staff to establish the Goals, Objectives, and Indicators for the Route to 2050 MTP and begin developing project prioritization criteria for the MTP Needs and Cost Feasible Plan.

On November 30, 2022, MPO staff introduced the Route to 2050 MTP and identified the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) as the formal Route to 2050 Steering Committee. Since then, Broward MPO staff and the consultant team have begun the initial tasks associated with the development of the Plan, including the development of Goals, Objectives, Indicators and the Project Prioritization process.

The Route to 2050 MTP draft Goals, Objectives, and Indicators were presented to the Technical Advisory Committee and Citizens' Advisory Committee during their March 22, 2023 meetings. Staff updated the Goals, Objectives, and Indicators to reflect the feedback received from the Broward MPO Advisory Committees, Broward MPO Board, and partner agencies. The three Goals identified as part of the Route to 2050 MTP are as follows: (1) Safely Move People and Goods (2) Create Jobs (3) Strengthen Communities.

At the upcoming meeting, Broward MPO staff will present an overview of the final proposed Goals, Objectives, and Indicators and address any questions and comments. For the PowerPoint presentation, please see the Attachment.
