Approval of the updated Strategic Business Plan will allow the MPO to align the Organization to continue fulfilling the mission and vision established by the MPO Board.

The MPO's Strategic Business Plan was initially developed in 2015 and serves to provide staff with strategic direction and goals that align with the interests of the MPO Board. Biennial updates to the Plan are made to reflect progress and as new direction is received. While not required, the Strategic Business Plan is considered a valuable document to the MPO as it ensures greater collaboration between the Board and staff towards shared objectives and is therefore counted among the core products of the Broward MPO.

Last updated in February 2023, the Strategic Business Plan is now due for another incremental update. Sections of the Plan being refreshed include the MPO's mission statement, areas where the MPO is currently leading and could lead in the future, and visionary opportunities to explore going forward. For further details, please see the updated Strategic Business Plan in Attachment 1.

At the upcoming meeting, staff will seek Board approval of the latest incremental update to the Strategic Business Plan. At the pleasure of the Board, a summary of changes can be provided (please see Attachment 2) and questions or comments will be addressed.
