In 2022, the Broward MPO and Broward County partnered to receive a $5 million grant award through the United States Department of Transportation Safe Streets and Roads for All funding program. The partners have used the funding to develop the Broward Regional Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, a joint commitment for countywide implementation strategies to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. One of the products of the planning effort is a Safety Dashboard to monitor progress toward achieving safety goals. The Safety Dashboard displays crash data from 2018-2022 with an interface that allows for customization of displayed crash information. The updated data for 2023 and 2024 will be available in the upcoming months. At the upcoming meeting, MPO staff will provide a demonstration of how to use the Dashboard and be available for questions or comments.
