WHAT THIS ACTION ACCOMPLISHES:

SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is requesting approval to amend three projects and remove one existing project from the FY 2026–2030 TIP. Details of the proposed changes are outlined below.
A. Proposed amendments:
- FM# 4515762 TSMA REPLACEMENT PROJECT BROWARD COUNTY — The Amendment proposes reducing the project length from 15.7 miles to 3.811 miles, following a refinement of project limits at intersections during the design phase. This reduction exceeds the allowable adjustment threshold of 20% or 0.5 miles, thereby requiring a formal TIP amendment. Additionally, the construction phase funding is proposed to increase from $1,689,163 to $3,250,194.
- FM# 4549751 SW 7TH AVENUE BRIDGE REHABILITATION — This Amendment proposes reallocating $500,000 in FY 2024 Congressional Discretionary (CD24) funds—originally designated for preliminary engineering design—to support construction engineering and inspection services.
- FM# 4439781 SHADY BANKS AND TARPON RIVER NEIGHBORHOOD VARIOUS LOCATIONS — The proposed Amendment corrects a measurement error in the project length, revising it from 1.161 miles to 1.787 miles. It also updates the construction phase schedule, shifting funding from FY 2026 to FY 2027.
- FM# 4549741 SAMPLE ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PLANNING — This Amendment is required because a project has been deleted from the FDOT Work Program at the City of the Lighthouse Point's request and needs to be reflected in the TIP.
