Approval of this action will enable FDOT to proceed with the programming and funding of the projects contained within the Work Program for the State FY 2027 - 2031. Additionally, the projects in the Work Program will be used in the development of the MPO's next Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for FY 2027 - 2031.

The MPO is required to develop and approve a TIP annually, which is a core product of the MPO and reflects the funding priorities of the MPO. This is a three-step process:

• Step 1 - MPO Board takes action on its List of Priority Projects (LOPP) - typically June of each year.
• Step 2 - MPO Board takes action on FDOT's Draft Tentative Work Program - typically in the fall of each year.
• Step 3 - MPO Board takes action on its TIP - typically July of each year. 

The FDOT Draft Tentative Work Program reflects projects to be approved by the MPO for the next TIP cycle. These projects will be reflected in the new FY 2027 - 2031 TIP to be produced by the Broward MPO in the spring of 2026. The Draft Tentative Work Program considers the funding of MPO priority projects listed in the FY 2026 LOPP approved by the Technical Advisory Committee and Citizens' Advisory Committee at their May 28, 2025 meetings and by the MPO Board at their July 10, 2025 meeting.

At the upcoming meeting, FDOT District Four staff will present an overview of the Draft Tentative Work Program and FDOT and MPO staff will be available to address any questions or comments. For the PowerPoint presentation, please see the Attachment.

MPO staff are currently reviewing the Draft Tentative Work Program materials. As a result, staff is not able to provide a recommendation at this time but will present any recommendations at the upcoming meeting.
