Publishing of the Annual Listing of Obligated Projects for the Federal Fiscal Year 2025
SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
Federal regulations require an annual listing of transportation improvement projects for which Federal funds have been obligated in the most recently completed Federal fiscal year (FFY) 2025, which covers the period between October 1, 2024 – September 30, 2025. Federal law requires these projects be published or otherwise made available by the MPO for public review.
The Annual Listing of Obligated Projects includes two portions: highway and transit. The highway portion was provided by the Florida Department of Transportation and MPO. The transit portion was developed by the MPO in coordination with public transportation operators. The full Annual Listing of Obligated Projects can be viewed and downloaded from the MPO’s website at: http://browardmpo.org/index.php/core-products/transportation-improvement-program-tip (please refer to the link titled "Annual Listing of Obligated Projects Federal Fiscal Year 2025" towards the middle of the page or refer to the Attachment).
Note the positive amounts denote expenditures of Federal funds on an identified project, while negative amounts mean that previously obligated funds have been removed from the project to reflect changes to the project cost, delays, or removed.

- $160,934,418 in Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funds were committed to 193 projects in the Broward region.
- $443,314,405 in Federal Transit Administration funds were committed to public transit operators Broward County Transit and the South Florida Regional Transit Authority, and the Broward MPO mobility hubs.
- $37,005,466 in Federal MPO (SU) funds were committed, while $2,774,750 was de-obligated.
- $6,309,217 in Federal MPO (TALU) funds were committed, while $361,748 was de-obligated.
- $9,334,986 in previously obligated FHWA funds are free for use in current and forthcoming projects.
- $3 Federal General Funds (GFSU) were de-obligated.
- $6,198,485 Federal MPO (CARU) funds were de-obligated.
