REQUESTED ACTION:
MOTION TO APPROVE Government Public Involvement Services Task Work Order No. 5 Between the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization and Cunningham Communications Consulting Company D.B.A. The Brand Advocates for Infrastructure Week Including University Drive Event in an Amount Not to Exceed $22,400.00
WHAT THIS ACTION ACCOMPLISHES:
Approval of this item will authorize the MPO to engage The Brand Advocates under the existing Government Public Involvement Services Agreement to assist the Broward MPO with
planning, coordination, and execution of
Infrastructure Week and the University Drive event.
SUMMARY EXPLANATION/BACKGROUND:
In October 2025, the MPO Board approved an agreement with Cunningham Communications Consulting Company D.B.A. The Brand Advocates, Incorporated for Government Public Involvement Services (for the Agreement, please see Attachment 1).
Infrastructure Week is a Broward MPO initiative consisting of a coordinated series of virtual and in-person communications and events intended to highlight transportation investments, demonstrate the value of public funding, and engage partner agencies, elected officials, and the public in understanding the benefits that these projects deliver. The May 24–29, 2026 initiative will include virtual project spotlight events throughout the county and a celebratory event for the University Drive project in Pembroke Pines.
For more information on the proposed Task Work Order No. 5 with The Brand Advocates, please see Attachment 2. The Task Work Order provides for the services mentioned above until June 30, 2026, at a cost not to exceed $22,400. MPO and consultant staff will be available at the upcoming meeting to address any questions or comments.MPO STAFF RECOMMENDATION(S):
