Approval of this item will solidify the Agreement with Bryan Caletka as the MPO's new Executive Director and recategorize Gregory Stuart as Executive Director Emeritus.

According to section 9.01 of the Rules of the Broward MPO, "The Board shall appoint and hire the Executive Director." To that end, during the last MPO Board meeting on September 10, 2026, the Board discussed and ultimately authorized the appointment of Bryan Caletka as the next MPO Executive Director and the Chair entered into negotiations with Mr. Caletka shortly thereafter to work out the terms of an employment agreement.

As part of the negotiated Agreement, Mr. Caletka did not request a pay increase; his salary remains the same. Mr. Caletka is the second highest paid employee at the Organization. When Mr. Stuart retires, Mr. Caletka will be the highest paid employee. The only benefit that this Agreement provides to Mr. Caletka is a monthly cell phone stipend of $125/month. Upon approval of the Agreement with Mr. Caletka, Mr. Stuart will be redesignated as Executive Director Emeritus and serve as a senior advisor to Mr. Caletka for a minimum of six months.
