During the July MPO Board meeting, MPO staff presented an introduction to micromobility. The Board Members had many concerns and questions pertaining to the current state of micromobility in Broward County, including: education, operation location, insurance, sidewalk use and space, helmets, golf carts, and rules of the road. The Board Members requested a workshop in the interest of coordinating together in policy, regulations, enforcement, crash data, and education.

After careful consideration, the Micromobility Workshop will be held in-person only on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. in the Broward MPO Board Room for Board Members to discuss and collaborate on micromobility.
