Lonny Hocker, Citizen, addressed the court concerning CR 330 and Westphal Street vegetation.

The court discussed an appointment to the Bluebonnet Trails Board.

Judge Oakley recognized Martin McLean for his service to Burnet County and his 18 years of service on this board. Judge Oakley also recommended Donna Klaeger be appointed to the board.

Martin McLean, thanked the court for the last 18 years.

Steve Savoy, Heart of Texas Auto Theft Task Force, presented the grant award to the court. Mr. Savoy also stated to the court Burnet, Coryell, Limestone Counties are all participants in this task force but McLennan and Lampasas Counties are also included in the coverage area.

Sheriff Calvin Boyd thanked the task force for all they do to assist Burnet County.

Herb Darling, Environmental Services, reported his office has been busy the last couple of weeks. Mr. Darling also reported on a meeting with, Constable Precinct 4 Missy Bindseil, Captain Ricky Bindseil and Brett Poage, met with Sid Miller, Commissioner of Agriculure, concerning nuisance issues throughout the county.

Sheriff Calvin Boyd stated to the court that the remodel at the Law Enforcement Center is almost complete and that Capt. Dwight Hardin has retired. Sheriff Boyd also stated Burnet County will be the hub for the holding facility for the western portion of the U.S. Marshalls.

Kirk Noaker, Magistrate, addressed the court on the inmate population and introduced his new employee, Tamera Tinney.

Capt. Matt Kimbler stated to the court the request would be for six Correctional Officers and a Corporal.

The court discussed a request from EA, Engineering to do water sampling from the well located in the courthouse basement.

Herb Darling, Environmental Services, discussed the existing well in the basement of the Courthouse and EA Engineering would like to monitor the well for any contamination. Mr. Darling stated there would be no expense to the county and in no way would limit the use of the well in the future.

Stephanie McCormick, Collections, discussed Scofflaw and will be setting up new collection plans with all J.P. offices.

Judge Oakley stated to the court the lease contract for 2.1 acres across from the Annex is awaiting finalization.

Eddie Arredondo, County Attorney, updated the court on the county's complaint to the Public Utility System in relation to the numerous phone disruptions and the slow response to correct these issues.

Commissioner Precinct 4 Joe Don Dockery stated the Household Waste Committee will meet September 6, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at the Marble Falls Fire Rescue Station to discuss the upcoming collection event on October 14, 2017 in Burnet.
