Commissioner Precinct 4 Joe Don Dockery gave the invocation.

Ann Nelson, President of the Burnet County Heritage Society, thanked Judge Oakley for his attendance at the Fort Croghan meeting on October 19, 2017. 

Judge Oakley recognized Rodney McNelley, Ret. Military Officer, was in attendance. Mr. McNelley, presented Sheriff Calvin Boyd with the Patriotic Employer Award for his support of the Guard and Reserve.

Officer Coates presented Sheriff Calvin Boyd with a Challenge Coin from the Texas Army National Guard.

Judge Oakley recognized State Representative Terry Wilson was in attendance.

The court heard an update of the Russell Fork Bridge and the Historic Marker. Rachel Bryson, Burnet County Historical Commission, stated to the court the historical marker has been delivered, however the bridge has been blocked by a private land owner.

Lela Goar, Burnet County Historical Commission, stated a "No Trespassing" sign was posted by the landowner and questioned where the County's Right of Way ends.

This item will be on the November 28, 2017 Agenda.

The court received a presentation of the Gold Star Safety Award from TAC Risk Management Pool. Larry Boccaccio, TAC Safety Representative, stated to the court that Burnet County was one of ten Counties eligible for this award.

The court discussed contracts, agreements or grants to be approved and/or ratified:
           h.  TexHealth Central Texas to provide small employer health care premium support.

Jim Rodriguez, TexHealth Central Texas, stated to the court TexHealth Central Texas, needs to update their agreement with Burnet County so they may operate under the new structure with Texas Department of Insurance.

Karen Hardin, County Auditor, stated to the court the 11.15 Waiver Program may not be renewed and is set to end December 31, 2017. If the program is continued the program will be dramatically different.

Rachel Bryson and Lela Goar, Burnet County Historical Commission, updated the court on a Deed filed in 2005 concerning the land at the Russell Fork Bridge.
