Sam Boyd, Owner, stated to the court this paved easement leads to all properties but doesn't foresee anymore land sales.
 
After further discussion Commissioner Precinct 1 Jim Luther Jr., withdrew his motion until the easement has been further addressed.

The court discussed an action to waive building permit fees for flood damaged properties.

Herb Darling, Environmental Services Director, stated any home with more than 18 inches of water or significant flood damage needs to meet with Environmental Services for permitting. Any structure that sustained more than a 50% of its value must be rebuilt to current building standards.

Herb Darling, Environmental Services Director, reported on cleanup efforts and thanked State Representative Terry Wilson for his assistance. Mr. Darling stated there have been several debris management sites set up, however the public cannot dump at these sites. The County is requesting residents to please put separated debris close to the street. Crews will be collecting household hazardous waste, starting in the hardest hit areas.

Commissioner Precinct 4 Joe Don Dockery presented a contract with Stericycle for the HHW cleanup and an MOU with City of Marble Falls.

Motion is made by: Commissioner Precinct 4 Joe Don Dockery, Seconded by: Commissioner Precinct 1 Jim Luther Jr., to enter into a contract with Stericycle and enter into a MOU with the City of Marble Falls.  These documents will be ratified at a later date.

Herb Darling, Environmental Services Director, stated Kevin Naumann has set up a webpage to assist folks that cannot physically or financially clean up private property. This link is available at www.burnetcountytexas.org, or call (512)715-5260 for more information.
 
Karen Hardin, County Services Director, stated she will be finalizing procedures for accepting donations.

Commissioner Precinct 2 Russell Graeter stated he has donated a few of his crew members to assist with cleanup efforts.

Judge Oakley stated the City of Burnet has donated the use of heavy equipment and operators.

Sheriff Calvin Boyd thanked Lampasas P.D., Horseshoe Bay P.D., Burnet P.D. and DPS for all their assistance. Sheriff Boyd stated they will be adding a link to the County Website to assist locating the owners of found watercraft.

Stan Hemphill, Chief Appraiser, reported that the Appraisal District will reappraise property if requested by an entity. The reappraisal will be from the date of the flooding event with an expected 200 to 300 homes being affected in Burnet County. The court will continue to monitor this issue. This item will be placed on the October 31, 2018 Agenda.
