Lot 5 is partially in Burnet County and Travis County. Last year Travis County Commissioners Court cancelled Lots 1-4, Block “C” for the same owners of this Lot 5. The cancellation of Lot 5, Block “C” is currently proceeding through the Travis Count Partial Subdivision Cancellation process. There are eight (8) other lot owners in The Ranch at Lakeside, Section One. On October 29, 2019 a mail out was done to all 8 owners. A list of all 8 owners and a copy of the typical mail out letter with exhibit has been filed with Commissioner Dockery and Herb Darling, Development Services Director. Following the Public Hearing there will be action on the Order of the Commissioners Court to cancel Lot 5, Block “C”, The Ranch at Lakeside, Section One, Cabinet 4, Slides 112d-113d, Plat Records, Burnet County, Texas (Dockery)

The Courthouse Christmas Decorations will be completed by November 27, 2019; Comm. Dockery updated the court on remaining items accepted at the Bopate Event. Jack Ranney, representative with Stericycle, is putting together an estimate for their disposal; Herb Darling, Director Burnet County Development Services, stated the department remains busy with continued growth in the County.

The court discussed Call for Bids, Requests for Proposals and/or Qualifications. Judge Oakley updated the court that due to the upcoming Wirtz Dam Bridge project they are revamping the RFP which went out for engineering services for County projects; Karin Smith, Burnet County Auditor, stated there are final changes on the RFP for the Tourism Website Manager, then it will be posted; Karin Smith requested the court address the issue regarding the RFP on repairs for the showers at the Burnet County Jail. Judge Oakley would like to move forward with advancing an RFP on jail bathroom drainage issues.

Staples Membership
The court discussed joining Staples Membership for purchasing supplies. Karin Smith, Burnet County Auditor, stated there is an annual membership fee of $299.00. This should result in more purchasing options and savings to the County. If there is not result in savings over the current Office Depot contract, the membership fee will be refunded.
