Deputy Kowalik and Deputy Jewett reported from the Burnet County Sheriff's Office: Environmental Division. Currently, the Officers have been dealing with vehicle citations, junk vehicle removal, illegal dumping, illegal burning, and giving presentations to local organizations. Presentations have included the Rotary Club of Burnet, Various Home Owners Association's, and The Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District to make them aware of what their department is working on in the County. Comm Beierle thanked the Officers for the job they are doing in making residents compliant. Comm Luther added he appreciates the hard work as he has seen positive results throughout the area.

Judge Oakley updated the court on various items which included: renovations to the historical jail continue; the EOC rooms at the Agrilife Building continue to be renovated; the multi-purpose room at the South Annex is being updated in preparation for early voting; a proposal has been received for the parking lot at the North Annex as well as the Sheriff's office. He is currently waiting on a second proposal for repairs; in Spring they will start assembling a tax note; attend a presentation by Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE); and lastly, meet with TXDOT to finalize a form which will allow him to be the agent on the AFA on the Wirtz Bridge Project.
Comm Beierle spoke of an incident which shut down US 183 at Firefly Aerospace. There is a meeting scheduled with them to improve response and communication on January 29, 2020.
Comm. Dockery updated the court on the load limits by Comm Luther on CR 120 and Comm Dockery on CR 403. Reports have been received and delivered to TxDOT. They are currently at the District Engineers Office awaiting review. As soon as they are adopted, they will be posting the load zone signs on both county roads.
Comm. Wall advised the court, he is now the Vice Chair on both the CARTS Board and Solid Waste Advisory Council.
