Judge Bryan Wilson called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m.
 
 
Item #2 Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance to the Flags
Bryan Wilson, County Judge, led the invocation.

Item #3 Public Comments - Pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.007 and the Burnet County commissioners court Rules of Decorum, any person may make comment on any item not appearing on the agenda. Any comments made will not be addressed by the commissioners court during the Public Comments agenda item. Public Comments are limited to three (3) minutes per person.

Item #4 Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding the purchase of a meeting room pod for the Herman Brown Free Library with TSLAC LIFI Grant Funds in an amount not to exceed $42,495.25. (Beierle)
 

Motion is made by Commissioner Precinct 2 Damon Beierle, Seconded By Commissioner Precinct 3 Chad Collier to approve a meeting room pod for the Herman Brown Free Library with TSLAC LIFI Grant Funds in an amount not to exceed $42,495.25.

Vote: 5 - 0 - Unanimously

 
Item #5 Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding approval of the appointment of Election Judges for the 2026-2027 Burnet County elections. (Wilson)
 

Motion is made by Commissioner Precinct 1 Jim Luther, Jr., Seconded By Commissioner Precinct 4 Joe Don Dockery to approve he appointment of Election Judges for the 2026-2027 Burnet County elections.

Vote: 5 - 0 - Unanimously

 
Item #6 Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding the approval of out-of-state travel for Elections Administrator Stephanie Cooper to attend the 41st National Elections Conference to maintain her national certificate in Kansas City, Missouri, August 18-August 23, 2026 in an amount not to exceed $1,500. (Wilson)
 

Motion is made by Commissioner Precinct 2 Damon Beierle, Seconded By Commissioner Precinct 1 Jim Luther, Jr. to approve the out-of-state travel for Elections Administrator Stephanie Cooper to attend the 41st National Elections Conference to maintain her national certificate in Kansas City, Missouri, August 18-August 23, 2026 in an amount not to exceed $1,500

Vote: 5 - 0 - Unanimously

 
Item #7 Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding the Burnet County Budget Policy, Fund Overview, and Expenditure Accounts Descriptions:
(a) VII Fleet Policies:
(i) Limiting the number of miles permitted outside of Burnet County for all take-home vehicles;
(ii) Miles i and ii — Recommend changing the replacement mileage for Active Law Enforcement (Pursuit vehicles) to 125,000 and Other Law Enforcement to 150,000.
(b) Review current Fleet Policy;
(c) Other Burnet County Budget Policy issues.
