Consideration and Action on Liquor License Application:

STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
- Forward the application to the State with a recommendation for approval;
- Forward the application to the State with a recommendation for denial based on the testimony received at the public hearing and/or other factors.
Executive Summary:
The liquor license process begins at the State level and applications are then forwarded to the respective municipality for posting of the property and holding a public hearing, after which the Council recommendation is forwarded back to the State. A Series 5 license allows for a government agency to sell and serve spirituous liquor solely for consumption on the premises. If approved, the NAU Performing and Fine Arts will be the one of 10 active series 05 license in Flagstaff.

The application was properly posted on April 14, 2026 and the Police Department and the Planning and Development Services division have reviewed the application and provided their respective reports No written protests have been received to date.
