Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Overview and Priority Setting
DESIRED OUTCOME:
Council direction on CDBG priorities and allocation schedule
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This work session item will provide an overview of The City of Flagstaff’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the proposal process and seek input from Council on priorities for the use of CDBG funding in the community. Historically, every two years after new Council Members are seated, Council establishes these priorities.
Additionally, there has been a recent change in deadlines from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Staff will review this minor change and request Council’s input on how this change is incorporated into the allocation schedule.
