Flagstaff Townsite NRD - Reclassification of 819 W Aspen Ave

Findings:
A property owner within the Townsite had requested the State Tax abatement for their property. The Flagstaff HPO in consultation with SHPO reviewed the provided documentation of the property and both determined that the property should have been included in the Townsite NR District. SHPO asks for HPC concurrence and comment of the nomination for inclusion in the Townsite District.
Information:
The Historic Sites Review Committee is meeting on March 5th, 2021 to consider inclusion of the property.The inventory of the property had noted that it was representative of the Bungalow style ...... and noted its integrity.... had only been "altered minor"..... Both the SHPO and HPO determined that the lack of the inclusion was an oversight or mistake. The property retains sufficient integrity to convey its historic character and should be including as contributing to the district.
