Presentation and discussion regarding the City of Flagstaff Community Development Block Grant, Program Year 2022 Annual Action Plan and Staff recommendations for Program Year 2022 CDBG funding allocations.

DESIRED OUTCOME:

Inform Council of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Year 2022 Annual Action Plan, required by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as part of the CDBG Program (CDBG). The 2022 Annual Action Plan is due to be submitted to HUD by July 11, 2022 and is required in order for the City of Flagstaff to maintain its compliance with federal CDBG regulations.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Staff will provide Council with a presentation regarding the 2022 CDBG proposals that were received through the Notice of Funding Available application process. Staff will review each proposal and will provide funding recommendations, requesting direction from City Council as applicable. Staff will be back in front of Council on April 19^th for approval of the 2022 Annual Action Plan and final allocation decisions.

The attached staff summary (for April 19^th) is for the approval of the City of Flagstaff’s Program Year 2022 Annual Action Plan, authorizing submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as part of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) process.
