Executive Summary:
Each year, the Commission creates an informal working group comprising 3 or fewer Commissioners to work on grant materials updates, such as updating the application, guidelines, and/or scoring rubric. The working group might do homework on their own and then meet as a group to review the changes. The working group then brings these changes to a Commission meeting to vote and approve them.
This year, the working group will also work to incorporate any priority action steps found in the equity assessment into the materials and/or outreach planning. This group will likely meet 1-2 times before the July meeting and may include work on their own time. Staff Liaison Tia is requesting updates be complete by the July meeting so materials can be voted on at the July commission meeting.
Today, the Commission should discuss who would like to be on the working group and vote to create it. The commission could also discuss additional changes they'd like to see or how they'd like to work on materials updates or what they need from Tia to be successful.
