Observatory Mesa Natural Area Renaming Consideration
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Decision Item. Open Spaces Commissioners will share information and thoughts on the pros/cons of renaming the Observatory Mesa Natural Area and may provide a recommendation to the Open Space Section.
Executive Summary:
This item is a continuation from the Open Spaces Commission’s June discussion to consider a formal name change for the Observatory Mesa Natural Area to better reflect its conservation status and ensure consistency within City code and public communications. The discussion will weigh the pros and cons of renaming the site, including feedback from the City's Indigenous Commission.
