State Legislative Update
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Discussion and direction from Council.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Arizona legislative session began on January 9, 2023 and state lawmakers have been busy introducing bills throughout January and early February. Staff will provide the Council with a brief, non-exhaustive overview of several bills that are relevant to the City Council's 2023 legislative priorities. Staff will also request direction from Council on bills that could potentially impact the City.

A brief PowerPoint will be used for this item. Due to the fast-changing nature of the state legislature, the PowerPoint will be finalized prior to the meeting to allow as up-to-date information as possible to be included.
