TITLE:

Consideration and Approval of Contract:  Contract with Carahsoft Technology Corporation to license OpenGov Asset Management and Work Order Software and related services.
 

STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:

  1. Approve the Cooperative Purchase Contract with Carahsoft Technology Corporation for OpenGov Asset Management and Work Order Software in the amount of $102,044.07; and
  2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.  

Executive Summary:

The Streets Section has worked with a version of the OpenGov Asset Management/Work Order software for over 10 years to maintain and track all department asset inventory. The software also serves as the main work order management tool. The Streets Section continues to refine current business practices and expand the use of OpenGov asset management systems, including integrating with City GIS to develop reporting dashboards currently in progress that provide real-time work data. This tool is used to track, manage, and dispatch work in Streets while tracking financial burden and resource utilization.

Background and History:

The provider, Carasoft Technology Corporation has been awarded a cooperative contract with OMNIA Partners, meeting the needs of the Streets division for Asset Management and Work Order Software. The City Procurement Section reviewed the agency contract for validity and fairness, resulting in a Cooperative Purchase Contract to purchase OpenGov Asset Management and Work Order Software in the amount of $102,044.07.

High Performing Governance - Enhancement of community engagement and strengthening relationships between the community and public safety services. Streets believes this Cooperative Purchase Contract with Carahsoft Technology Corporation will support staff in the enhancement of work management and citizen reporting. It will also continue asphalt management and tracking of the Streets Road Repair/Street Safety program, which delivers roughly $10,000,000 worth of road repairs each year as part of the 2014 Prop 206 approval.
