Thorpe Park Annex Concept Approval - Fleet Building as ICC

City Council approved the final Thorpe Park expansion project after an extensive public involvement project. The concept includes the preservation of the former Fleet Maintenance Building as a historic building for adaptive reuse as an Indigenous Cultural Center (ICC) This is an important preservation project for the City and also identifies the ability to adaptively reuse historic properties to the benefit of the community. Approval of the concept allows further efforts in focusing funding and community support toward the realization of the ICC. HPO will continue to work with the Indigenous Community at this site. Utilization of the US Secretary of the Interior Standards for Rehabilitation is a component of the ICC guidance (attached)
