TITLE:

Consideration and Approval of Contract:  Approve a Cooperative Purchase Contract with Goodmans Interior Structures in the amount of $146,397.72, in addition to taxes and other charges, for the purchase and installation of new cubicles and office furniture for the Community Development and City Engineering Divisions.

STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:

  1. Approve a Cooperative Purchase Contract with Goodmans Interior Structures in the amount of $146,397.72, in addition to taxes and other charges, for the purchase and installation of new cubicles and office furniture; and
  2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.

Executive Summary:

The City Engineering and Community Development Divisions have budgeted for the purchase and installation of new cubicles and office furniture for FY2023-24 due to the age, condition, and insufficient number of cubicles for authorized staff. There are currently 16 cubicles and there will be 20 cubicles when the project is completed with a standard cubicle size of approximately 8’-1” x 7’-7”.
 
The installation of the cubicles is anticipated to be completed during the summer 2023 months and will be coordinated with the Facilities Section which will be also be replacing the carpeting in the Community Development and Engineering area in City Hall.

Financial Impact:

The Cooperative Purchase Contract with Goodmans Interior Structures to purchase and install the cubicles and office furniture has been budgeted for in FY2023-24 and is funded with general operating funds in account 001-10-102-0310-4-4224 and 001-05-102-0310-4-4224 for a total budget of $150,000. The cost will be split 50/50 between the City Engineering and Community Development Divisions.

Background and History:

The State of Arizona, Procurement Department, Public Sector conducted a competitive and open procurement process through Request for Proposal Solicitation No. ADSPO18-00008152 that resulted in Contract No. ADSPO18-211721 with Goodman's Interior Structure. The City of Flagstaff Procurement department with utilized this State contract in a piggyback to receive the most competitive pricing.
