TITLE:
Consideration and Adoption of Resolution No. 2023-47: A resolution of the Flagstaff City Council in support of Mountain Line’s Flagstaff in Motion Community Transit Plan.
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Executive Summary:
Mountain Line's Board has adopted its 5-year plan, titled "Flagstaff in Motion Community Transit Plan." This proposed resolution is in support of the City and Mountain Line's staff's continued cooperation to reach our shared community transit goals.
Financial Impact:
No new costs are associated with this resolution.
Policy Impact:
The resolution will offer support from the City for the "Flagstaff in Motion Community Transit Plan" and will guide continued coordination and implementation of the City and Mountain Line plans.

The coordination in providing a high-quality public transit system is also a critical component of the Carbon Neutrality Plan that the City adopted in 2021, especially the following strategies:
DD-4 Transform transportation policies and planning to incorporate greenhouse gas emissions analysis and reduce dependence on driving.

Regional Plan
The Flagstaff Regional Plan has Goal T.7. Provide a high-quality, safe, convenient, accessible public transportation system, where feasible, to serve as an attractive alternative to single-occupant vehicles and six associated policies, which support the objectives that Mountain Line has set in its 5-year plan.
