Public Works Streets Section Snow Operations Presentation and Discussion
DESIRED OUTCOME:
Discussion of the Public Works Streets Section Snow Operations upcoming winter season preparations.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Streets Section is responsible for providing service to the city's 700 lane miles of roadway with snow plowing and ice control operations. The Streets Section also works to ensures all 60 signalized pedestrian and traffic intersections, 17,000 traffic regulatory signs, and 4,000 streetlights stay operational for the public's safety. The community has high expectations of the city transportation network and Public Works strives to meet these expectations. The snow operations discussion will provide insights into the operations of Public Works and is educational for all residents and visitors of Flagstaff.
