Informal Consultation on a City project
INFORMATION:
The City Public Works staff is working with Building Safety, Engineering and Heritage Preservation to replace and improve the snow melt system on the sidewalk and alley north of the historic train station. Plans are under review and the HPO had a site visit with staff in August. SHPO has been consulted informally as this is not a federal undertaking but affects an important historic building. The building and adjacent space is in a LandMark Overlay Zone and the work is exempted from a Certificate of No Effect because it meets criteria B.2 under the section 10-30.30.020, which states, "Ordinary maintenance or repair of a property or structure, including public infrastructure, that does not involve a change in any element of design and that does not have an impact that is greater than that of the original construction."
