TITLE:
Consideration and Approval: Letter of Support for the Funding of the Pioneer Museum and Arizona Historical Society FY2026 Budget.
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the letter of support.
Executive Summary:
The Arizona Historical Society has included a $360,000 budget line item in its FY2026 budget for the Pioneer Museum and has asked the Mayor and Council to submit a letter of support for the funding to Governor Hobbs and the City of Flagstaff's Senator and Representatives at the Arizona State Legislature. The Pioneer Museum was closed just prior to the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak and has not been re-opened.
