Background and History:
The City of Flagstaff identified J Banicki Construction as the best vendor for this bundle of repair projects for the Stormwater Section due to their expertise with stormwater infrastructure, current staffing in the Flagstaff region (having recently completed the Highway 180 culvert and the JW Powell bridge), cost, and the ability to mobilize quickly. Staff are utilizing an existing agency contract through the Coconino County Flood Control District (RFQ 2023-105) to procure this project. The Coconino County Flood Control District conducted a competitive and open procurement process through Request for Quotes RFQ 2023-105 that resulted in Contract No. RFQ 2023-105 with J Banicki. The City's Procurement team deemed this cooperative purchase to be valid.
