Consideration and Approval of Letter of Support: Protect Our Parks and Save Our Forests Acts
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the letter of support.
Executive Summary:
Staff received a request
City staff received a request to voice the City’s support for the Protect Our Parks and Save Our Forests Acts that were recently introduced by Senator Kelly. These Acts would seek to restore United States Forest Service and National Park Service staffing, as well as ensure that forest restoration projects that were previously authorized or appropriated under past legislation can continue. These bills are in line with the Council's Forest Health legislative priority. If approved, this letter will be shared with federal legislators to support the Acts.
