TITLE:
Consideration of Appointments: Board of Adjustment
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
- Mayor Daggett to make one appointment
- Vice Mayor Sweet to make one appointment
- Councilmember Garcia to make one appointment
- Councilmember Spence to make one appointment
Executive Summary:
The Board of Adjustment is made up of seven voting members; six citizen members shall be appointed by the Mayor and City Council and one member of the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Board holds hearings on request for variances and appeals of decision by the Zoning Administrator. The Board does not have the authority to change zoning law.

These are voluntary positions and there is no budgetary impact to the City of Flagstaff.

Options and Alternatives to Recommended Action:
- Appoint four Commissioners: By appointing members at this time, the Airport Commission will be at full membership, allowing the group to meet and provide recommendations to the City Council.
- Postpone the action to allow for further discussion or expand the list of candidates.
