Consideration of Appointments: Board of Adjustment
 

1. Mayor Daggett to make one appointment 
2. Vice Mayor Sweet to make one appointment 
3. Councilmember Garcia to make one appointment 
4. Councilmember Spence to make one appointment 

The Board of Adjustment is made up of seven voting members; six citizen members shall be appointed by the Mayor and City Council and one member of the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Board holds hearings on request for variances and appeals of decision by the Zoning Administrator. The Board does not have the authority to change zoning law.

The City of Flagstaff is committed to increasing diversity in every board and commission, please consider how the applicant stated they may contribute to this commitment.

There are five (5) applications on file for consideration by the Council as follows:

• Devin Kelley (current commissioner)
• Diane Lorden (current commissioner)
• Gail Jackson (new applicant) 
• John Jackson (new applicant)
• Joseph Jarvis (new applicant) 

In an effort to reduce exposure to personal information, the applicant roster and applications will be submitted to the City Council separately.

COUNCIL APPOINTMENT ASSIGNMENT: Mayor Daggett, Vice Mayor Sweet, Councilmember Garcia, and Councilmember Spence.

These are voluntary positions and there is no budgetary impact to the City of Flagstaff.

1. Appoint four Commissioners: By appointing members at this time, the Airport Commission will be at full membership, allowing the group to meet and provide recommendations to the City Council.
2. Postpone the action to allow for further discussion or expand the list of candidates.
