Consideration and Ratification of Letter of Support: Recommendations for 2025 Surface Transportation Reauthorization Bill

Retroactively approve the recommendations.
Executive Summary:
City staff received a request from MetroPlan to submit recommendations for the 2025 Surface Transportation Reauthorization Bill. The comments focus on the need to preserve discretionary grant funding, continue investment levels in the IIJA, promote transportation planning, allow carryover funds, and preserve flexibility of funds to meet local needs. This request falls within the City’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Transportation legislative priorities. The attached letter was submitted to the federal Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure for consideration.
