Ratify the Letter of Opposition.
Executive Summary:
Staff received a request from the Mayor for a letter of opposition to the proposed cuts to clean energy and social programs contained in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The letter focuses on proposed cuts to residential clean energy and energy efficiency credits, clean energy infrastructure projects, and public housing formula grants. This request falls within the City’s Energy Independence and Affordable Housing federal legislative priorities. City staff sent the attached letter to the Senate Majority Leader and the Senate Minority Leader as the bill is now being considered by the Senate.
