TITLE:

Consideration of Appointments: Mountain Line Board
 

STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:

  1. Councilmember House to make one appointment
  2. Councilmember Spence to make one appointment 

Executive Summary:

The NAIPTA Transit Advisory Committee serves in an advisory role to the NAIPTA CEO and General Manager, discussing policies and procedures related to the operation of this organization. The City of Flagstaff is responsible for appointing one Citizen Representative and one Alternate Citizen Representative.

The City of Flagstaff is committed to increasing diversity in every board and commission, please consider how the applicant stated they may contribute to this commitment.

There are two (2) applications on file for consideration by the Council as follows:
  • Michele James (current Commissioner)
  • Brendan Trachsel (new applicant)
In an effort to reduce exposure to personal information, the applicant roster and applications will be submitted to the City Council separately.

COUNCIL APPOINTMENT ASSIGNMENT: Councilmember House and Councilmember Spence 

Financial Impact:

These are voluntary positions and there is no budgetary impact to the City of Flagstaff.

Options and Alternatives to Recommended Action:

  1. Appoint two Members
  2. Postpone the action to allow for further discussion or expand the list of candidates.
